Not to look past what is about to happen, and you obviously have more important things to do right now, but can we put a pin in it to maybe explain what (if anything) the size of HH means for the region moving forward? Will she "help" to decrease future development by wrapping so much into her circulation? Thanks again for all you do, and stay safe!
Dr, IMO, I think what Ryan “Doc Hurricane” was getting at is if you leave, it is a wise precautionary measure to shut off the water just in case you have a pipe burst due to damage. Think a tree falling on your house and puncturing a water line. Side note, a good idea to turn off the breaker to your hot water heater.
Really appreciate the tips, guys. We've been Tallahassee for 7 years but we're from Michigan originally. Much of this just does not compute for us Michiganders! 😆
In your next update, please discuss why Helene is so large. (What determines the size of a hurricane?)
It rolled up most of the Central American Gyre into its circulation.

Thanks!
Question - do folks who live in Tallahassee need to turn off their water if they're leaving their home? Thanks!
